Introduction: Thalaga Parpam is a Siddha Herbo-mineral formulation useful in wide range of diseases and disorders. Efficacy of formulation depends on their genuineness of herbs and mineral used. Authentication of herbs by experts is first and fundamental step for standardization of herbo-mineral formulation. In this paper acute and sub acute toxicity study of Thalaga Parpam were studied. Methods: The standard methods recommended in toxicity study guidelines Methods for chemicals by OECD was followed. Results: no any abnormal behavioural observed in acute and sub acute toxicity studies of Thalaga Parpam. Conclusion: Findings of the study is helpful in standardization of toxicity studies showed in LD50 value 2000mg/kg body weight and NOAEL in Sub acute toxicity study of Siddha formulation Thalaga Parpam, which will promote global acceptance of the formulation and reputation of the Siddha medical system.

Background: Each drug has a dose, administration, frequency, even different usage times. and need to be correct usage information. The incorrect usage can reduce its effectiveness even can make it more dangerous general, when dispensing at the pharmacy, the provision of information is made by writing simple rules of use called the label and is equipped with a little verbal information. Moreover, this may not be remembered by the patient if the patient receives many items of medicine. The Aim of study :It has has been designed by providing posters and brochures of some diabetes drugs that are often used in National Insurance of Health (JKN) participants to measure the blood glucose level before and after an intervention. Methods This is intervention research with pre and post-test group designs......

Background: There are growing concerns regarding the production, distribution and uncontrolled use of alcoholic beverages in our society today. The effects of these traditional alcoholic beverages on the sexual behavior of male and female albino rats is the aim of the study. Materials and Methods: A total of 60 normal albino rats (spaque Dawley strain) weighing 180-200g of about 12 weeks and were in different cages of thirty males (a) and females (b) respectively. These were randomly divided into five groups of six animals per cage and were administered with various doses of four freshly brewed local alcoholic beverages - goskolo, burukutu, pito and ogogoro purchased daily from the same commercial brewer for a period of 30 days. On day 31, the animals were placed in transparent glass cage and after an adaptation period of 10 minutes, sexually receptive females were presented to the males at a time by introducing them into the cage. iordiosis display and......

Background: Nephrotic syndrome is a very common childhood disease, commonly affecting children between ages 2-6 yrs of age. Serum creatinine level reflects the glomerular filtration rate. In clinical practice creatinine clearance is often used as a marker of glomerular filtration rate. Aims: To see whether renal resistive index increases in children with nephrotic syndrome with high serum creatinine level. Settings and Design: Hospital based analytical study Methods and Material: Serum creatinine values were evaluated in relation to the severity of nephrotic syndrome. 63 children were taken into study (>1 year and <12 years), and were divided into 2 groups (≤6years and >6 years). The serum creatinine values of each group were compared with the renal resistive index of nephrotic syndrome. RRI was determined from USG renal Doppler by applying the following formula......
