Pandemic, the word that define the year 2020 took the world by storm when a deadly virus was found to be spreading like Wildfire since its emergence in Asia in 2019.1 The novel coronavirus which previously was not found in humans had its first human interaction in December 2019 in the city of Wuhan in China. Being a zoonotic disease it engulfed the entire world making it the greatest challenge in the face of humanity since World War II. India reported its first case on January 27,2020 in Kerala where a 20 year old female presented in the emergency department of a General Hospital with dry cough and sore throat.

It is well known how psychotropic medications affect mood, behavior and can cause drug dependence [1]. Most of these drugs are also known for the withdrawal symptoms they cause after abstinence [2], and therefore they must be strictly prescribed. However, research has shown that these medications are among the most widely misused and abused prescribed medications in Libya and Worldwide [3]. In the United States approximately 2.8% of the population use psychotherapeutic drugs for nonmedical reasons [4]. Comparable results are found by many researchers through the Middle East region [5, 6]. Some countries that had less restrictive laws regarding the prescription and dispensing of some benzodiazepines, especially alprazolam, i.e., Australia, has moved it from Schedule 4 to the more restrictive Schedule 8 (S8) in February 2014. This has been done due to the increasing level of misuse of alprazolam and safety concerns for those who use it

Pazopanib (PZB) is an anticancer drug which inhibits multi-tyrosine kinase receptors. It belongs to BCS class II used for the treatment of renal cell carcinoma and soft tissue sarcoma. A simple, rapid, accurate, sensitive and reproducible reverse-phase high-performance liquid chromatographic method (RP-HPLC) has been developed and validated for PZB and the developed method is applied to quantitatively assess the solubility of PZB in various oils, surfactants and cosurfactants. The separation was achieved on a C18-reverse phase column (SunFire C18 5μm, 4.6×250mm column) using a mobile phase composed of 0.1% orthophosphoric acid solution and Acetonitrile in a ratio of 40:60 v/v at a flow rate of 1ml/min. The injection volume of 20μl and the wavelength is 270nm. The retention time of PZB was observed at 4.9 minutes. The method was validated for specificity........

INTRODUCTION: In Morocco, breast cancer ranks first in terms of incidence and mortality in women. The objectives of our study are to determine the main risk factors for breast cancer in Moroccan women in the region of Rabat and to verify whether they are the same factors existing in the literature. PATIENTS AND METHODS: Prospective study in 80 women with breast cancer between June and December 2020 at the anticancer drug retrocession unit of the Mohamed V Military Hospital in Rabat. The data was collected using a questionnaire, administered face to face to patients during the dispensing of hormonal treatment..........

Selaginellaceae Wilk family is a distinct plant family which includes the genus 'Selaginella'. This genus is found all around the world and is comprised of approximately 700 to 750 plant species. It has wide geographical distribution in tropical regions of America, African continent, Europe, Japan, New Guinea, Australian and Kamchatka peninsula in Russia. It has most abundant presence in Amazon basi with 31 species. Plants belonging to family Sellaginellaceae occur mostly as terrestrial and perennial herbs measuring lesser than 2 cm height. Its roots are characterized by dichotomous branching while its stem is either erect or is seen as a creeper. Its leaves measure roughly 0.5 to 1.0 cm length, have spiral arrangement and have quite often fourth rank on secondary as well as ulitimate branching system. However, variations in height of the plant may be seen with smaller species having 3 cm long stems while few species........

The current study describes the development of in silico models based on quantitative structure- activity relationship (QSAR) analysis has been performed on 4-quinoline carboxylic acid derivatives as inhibition capacity of vesicular stomatitis virus replication in Madin Darby canine kidney epithelial cells. A highly descriptive and predictive QSAR model was obtained through the calculation of alignment-independent descriptors using MOE 2009.10 software. For a training set of 20 compounds, the partial least squares analyses result in a model which displays a squared correlation coefficient (r2) of 0.913. Validation of this model was performed using leave-one-out (q2) of 0.842. This model gives (r2pre) of 0.889 for a test set of five compounds. Docking studies were performed for 25 compounds to investigate the mode of interaction between 4-quinoline carboxylic acid derivatives and the active site of the human dihydroorotate dehydrogenase.
