Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is a chronic systemic autoimmune inflammatory disease affecting 0.5–1% of adults worldwide, with women exhibiting a 2–3 times higher prevalence than men. Current therapeutic options, including non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, disease modifying anti-rheumatic drugs, glucocorticoids, immunosuppressants, and biological agents, often present limitations such as adverse effects and high cost. This has led to increased interest in plant-based alternatives. Drynaria quercifolia known as 'Mudavaatukkal' in Tamil and traditionally used in Indian ethnomedicine, has been reported to treat various ailments, including rheumatism.........
